Born in Rochester, Minnesota, SAD, while spends his childhood in Mexico. Had PhD in History of Art and Estetics and was a professor in many SAD universities - Prinston, Evergreen State College and Davis -where he started a festival that is still celebrating nowadays - Whole Earth Festival which later become an inspiration for the Celebration of The Day of The Earth on 22nd of April. He became world famous with his bestseller The Mayan Factor -path beyond technology in which he introduces the date 21st of December 2012. for the first time in the collective consciousness. He was the initiator of the First Worldwide Peace Meditation, known as Harmonic Convergention 1987.

Still, his biggest legacy was the discovery of Law of Time which brings us the true changes of consciousness and is based on his mathemathical researches as well as prophecy related to the Mayan calendar and time as fourth dimension. His most significant works are: Earth Ascending: An Illustrated Treatise on Law Governing Whole SystemsTechnology; Time and the Technosphere: The Law of Time in Human Affairs; The Arcturus Probe; Surfers of the Zuvuya; Cosmic History Chronics; Manifesto for the Noosphere, where he writes about the next stage of the evolution of human consciousness. The best known tools he left behind for us to navigate through the time as fourth dimension and slide into the galactic time are „Wavespell, Journey of the Timeship Earth 2013“, „Telektonon“ and „Synchronotron“.

Iniciator of the first Worldwide Noosfere Forum, 2009. Remarkably fruitful artist known by his murals, illustrations of his books, painting exibitions. He considered art to be the main key for transformation of the human mind as the harmony is the foundation of art and natural time (here, the premise is Time is Art), as activist for peace and planetary consciousness, he initiated along with his wife Lloydine, Planetary Art Network and World Peace Movement for changing the calendar and using 13 Moon Calendar. He won prizes in many different cultures. Some of them are: tribute to Valum Votan, The One Who Closes the Cycle, by the Nine Mayan Chiefs, while the tribute for his life work was given to him by famous Mayan healer from International Council of Thirteen Flordemayo Grandmmother. He received the most prestigious reward from the UN committee - Nicholas Roerich Peace Medal for promoting the peace through culture. As Stephanie South, his biographer, said, he was “galactic genious, cosmic visioner, planetary artist and messinger of the Sprit”.

He died on 23rd of March 2011. in the same hour as when he was born 6.10 am, exactly 1328 years after death of Pakal Votan. Russian Academy of Science in Novosibirsk, with which he cooperated a great deal, named one star after Jose Arguelles.
